Probably the most popular garden bird in the UK where they are often very tame - this contrasts to the rest of Europe where robins are more usually regarded a shy woodland bird.

This robin (Erithacus rubecula) turned up, on the lookout for food, while I was doing a bit of gardening. This was an exceptionally tame bird - approaching to within a few feet of me.
